I think that success is a combination of determination, focus, hard work, and just a little bit of luck.

I believe that the harder you work, the luckier you become. How? Well, hard work begets opportunity. The more you apply yourself and the more energy you pour into making your dreams come true, the more fortuitous events come your way.

After all, I think that luck and opportunity are basically the same thing. Don’t the lucky ones always get all the best opportunities?

If you want to be successful, you have to know what you are working towards. You have to visualize the goal and outline a path for how you will get there. This takes focus. It takes creativity.

Achieving your goal will take precious amounts of your time and loads of self-sacrifice. This is where the love for what you are doing comes in. If you don’t love what you are doing and don’t have any clue as to why you love what you are doing, than what’s the point? An all-encompasing passion for what you are working towards is what will carry you through the toughest times. It will elevate you during your low points and reignite your drive when all you want to do is give up.

If you love what you are doing, then you will believe in what you are doing. If you believe in your cause, wholly and absolutely, then nothing and no-one will be able to stop you or discourage you. No obstacle will be to great, and no amount of failure will prevent you from trying again. Believing in what you are doing is essential for continuing on your path during the times when you think it has become impossible.

Nothing worth doing will be easy or comfortable. Absolutely nothing worth having will come without some effort on your part. We must work for the things we want. We must dream up incredible dreams and then chase them to the ends of the earth. We must believe in ourselves, and believe in our cause. We must rely on our love for what we are doing to carry us through.

When the going gets tough, remember to keep it simple. What are you fighting for? Why did you choose this? Remember why you began the battle and use it to turn any frustration into love. Let the love for what you are doing engulf you. Let it empower you. Let it propel you forward. Let that love feed your belief in your cause and reinforce your purpose.

Decide what you want. Fall in love with your dream. Believe in yourself and your cause. Success is sure to follow.

Believe me, I’ve tested this a time or two. It works.

Go on. Try it out. Just remember to keep it simple. Keep your goal in mind and adjust your current path based on your opportunities. Throw positivity out into the universe like it’s going out of style. A positive attitude is your best friend. Work hard. Be honest. Be kind. Be humble. Be gracious.

Be rigid in your goals and flexible in your execution. There are many ways for you to get to where you are going.

Just don’t forget to believe in yourself. That’s important.
