Sometimes you just need to get out of town and hit the mental reset button.

This past weekend, I took an impromptu trip a couple of hours northeast to Palm Desert. Escaping one paradise for another didn’t seem like such a bad idea. What can I say, living in Southern California is extremely challenging.

I love San Diego more than anything, but sometimes it’s nice to have a change of scenery to make you miss home.

The weekend was truly wonderful and exactly what I had hoped it would be: relaxing, fun, spontaneous, full of laughter, and unexpectedly diverse in climate.

What do I mean by that? I was able to experience everything from the dry desert winds, to drizzling rain, to SNOW! as we drove over the Santa Rosa Mountain on our way home.
